What helps us respond usefully
None of this is required. A message that just says “never tested, want to be” is a perfectly good start. But a few details, when you have them, make the first reply more useful.
Your test result, if one exists. The actual number and the test date turn a general conversation into a specific one, and a photo of the report works fine. If the radon question came out of a home inspection, the relevant page of the inspection report tells even more, since inspectors usually note the device, the duration, and where it sat.
The foundation type, if you know it. Basement, slab, crawlspace, or some combination: it’s the single biggest factor in what a system for your house involves. “Basement under the old part, crawlspace under the addition” is exactly the kind of sentence worth including.
And if there’s a deadline, a closing date or an inspection-response window, say so up front, so scheduling can be talked about realistically from the first reply.
